Nina is the name her mother gave her. Leuca is the southernmost cape of Salento, where the Adriatic and Ionian seas meet at a horizon that always seems to invite the imagination further. It is from this encounter, between a woman and a place, that Ninaleuca was born.
Trained at St Martins School of Fashion, Nina returned to Puglia with a clear vision of what fashion could be when rooted in something real. Her atelier sits in the historical centre of Lecce, beneath the characteristic arches of pietra leccese stone, and it is at once a space for creation, for artisanal work and for connection with the people who wear the pieces. The fabrics come from artisanal factories in the region. Loom-woven patterns, embroideries and sewing techniques passed down through generations in Salento are the language with which the brand speaks to the world.
Ninaleuca does not follow seasons. Its pieces are inter-seasonal, designed to endure rather than to be replaced. Each collection is limited, adjusted to real demand, without excess. The fabric offcuts that remain become the One of a Kind line, unique pieces that close the cycle without anything being lost. Circularity here is not a strategy. It is simply the natural consequence of doing things with meaning.
For Nina, slowness is the path to creating with care and to ensuring that the work holds meaning for everyone involved. The seamstresses have flexible hours and fair pay. Nobody here sacrifices a life for work, because that is not the kind of creation Ninaleuca believes in.
