La Paz — Inspired by the Atlantic, Its People and Its Traditions.
Founded in Porto in 2011 by André Bastos Teixeira and José Miguel de Abreu, La Paz is a Portuguese menswear label rooted in the country's coastal culture and artisanal heritage. The brand was born from a process of research and discovery: visiting old factories, exploring regional archives and uncovering garments deeply connected to specific corners of Portugal, from the fishing shirts of Nazaré to the capote of Alentejo and the wool jumpers of Serra da Estrela. Extraordinary designs, sometimes paired with anachronic fabrics, sometimes the other way around. The question was always the same: what would it mean to give these things a new life?
La Paz works closely with the best local Portuguese manufacturers, combining their craftsmanship with a thoughtful design approach to create timeless, durable goods. The collections are built on that dialogue between tradition and modernity, between what has always existed and what it can become.
Sustainability at La Paz goes beyond materials and manufacturing. The brand sees it as something intrinsic to a way of living, a shared responsibility between the brand and the people who wear it. La Paz has increasingly integrated organic and recycled materials into its collections, and continues to explore what it means to buy, distribute and sell more consciously.
