Born in the early 1970s in Chiuppano, a small town in the Veneto region of northeastern Italy, GAS grew from a family workshop into one of the world's most recognised premium denim brands. Founded by Claudio Grotto at a time when Italian youth were hungry for the expressive freedom that denim represented, the brand began producing jeans in a small atelier and, over the following decade, evolved into a global operation present in more than 56 countries.
