SKFK: Free, Creative and Fearless.

Born in Bilbao in the 1990s, out of the streetwear scene and music festivals, SKFK began as Skunkfunk, a t-shirt brand with something to say. Almost 25 years later, it is an independent women's fashion brand rooted in the Basque Country, driven by the belief that fashion can be done differently and that sustainable, expressive clothing should be within everyone's reach. Collections are designed a full year in advance, leaving time to pause, imagine and create with care.

From the Cotton Field

SKFK has travelled its supply chain back to the fields. Since 2016, it has sourced Fairtrade certified organic cotton from Chetna, an independent cooperative in India where fields are rain-fed, GMO seeds are banned and traditional composting and pest control replace agrochemicals. For the brand, Fairtrade is a story of empowerment, giving farmers the support to transition to organic farming and shape their own future. Dyes follow the same care: low-impact reactive dyes, free from harmful chemicals and tested every season, chosen so colours last and garments stay in use.

Local and Global

Rather than rely on a "made in" label that reflects only the final step, SKFK sews each garment as close as possible to its raw material: cotton in India, technical and recycled pieces in China, European linen and post-consumer recycled pieces in Spain and Portugal, and Lenzing cellulosic fibres in Turkey. This reduces transport, brings transparency to every fibre and keeps sustainable fashion affordable, while more than 85% of each garment's economic value remains in Europe.
